If you saw the movie Leon, you certainly remember the cute little girl. The name of that actress was Natalie Portman. At the age of 11, she was picked up by a modeling scout for the cosmetics company Revlon. That stroke of good luck led her to debut in the successful film Leon.

Ms. Portman was born in Israel in 1981. Her father was a doctor, and the family moved to the United States to embark on a new life there.

In 1999, she entered Havard University and decided to major in psychology. One interesting thing about her is her last name. Portman is not actually her family's last name; it is her maternal grandmother's maiden name.
