7. 팝가수 Ne-Yo가 <매트릭스>에서 왔다고?

 

If you are looking for something that can soothe your frazzled nerves, Ne-Yo's sweet voice may offer an answer.

 - frazzled nerves: 곤두선 신경

 - frazzle: 지치게 하다, 닳아떨어지게 하다

 - offer/give/provide an answer: 대답/답변하다

 

Ne-Yo was born in 1979, in the southern U.S. state of Arkansas. His father was black and his mother was a child of black and Chinese parents. Since both of his parents were musicians, his musical talent probably originated from them. Actually, Ne-Yo was not his name at birth.

His former producer, Big D Evans, coined the nickname because Evans thought Ne-Yo could "see through music" just like Neo in the film The Matrix could see the matrix.

Ne-Yo broke into the music industry as a lyricist, writing the beautiful song "Let Me Love You" for the singer Mario.

Since his debut, Ne-Yo has recorded five top-10 songs including "So Sick" and "Because of You," which have landed on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
